Ibra has been making music for over the past 7 years. We asked who were his main influences on his album/EP Awake and he said he was listening to a lot of J.Cole lately, so was a big influence on the album. Also, he listened to a lot of Nas and even The Internet. The Awake EP is a consistent body of work. We were impressed with the consistent bars and story throughout the whole EP. This is a great listening music album and perfect for cruising. You can listen to his album Awake EP on Soundcloud and updates from WorldofI on Youtube. Press Play and Click Soundcloud Box below.. What is the meaning behind the Awake EP?
"Yeah the album basically symbolizes the awakening of myself. I'm trying to wake myself up and get my dreams and also wake up people to my music."-@worldofIbra
The DOJO event
Live Shows by Ibra
Since the album has dropped, Ibra has gaining exposure by performing at live shows and listening events throughout the city including at Blue 1647. We had the opportunity to attend an event and were very impressed by the movement.
What is your favorite song to perform? What would you say is the key to a solid performance?
My favorite song to perform is "When To Go" I think the key to a solid performance is energy. You have to be up there giving it your all if you want people to fuck with you. " - @worldofibra

What do you think our culture Needs more of? How about Less of? Any thoughts on American Music culture and around the world?
" I think our culture needs more originality. I feel like there's a lot of people doing things because other peple are doing it and not BECAUSE it's what they want to do, that's what we need less of. I think American music culture is a great thing but has its flaws such as soMEtimes how music becomes more of a business than an acTual art. I don't really know that much about world music culture to speak on it." @worldofibra
