Born in Toronto, Carol Marie was raised on Weston Road, a road mentioned in Toronto native Drake's 2016 song "Weston Road Flows", and his 2018 song "God's Plan". A road that would later be the place where she fell in love with music and was introduced to some of her biggest inspirations like Drake, Ella Fitzgerald, Pressa, Nina Simone, and Billie Holiday.
