Bay Area, CA beatsmith Dream Ear presents "West Side", his new single featuring Mistah F.A.B. and Too $hort. The producer and songwriter born DeShawn Davis is owner and operator of Dream Ear Productions, which released its debut instrumental album, The Stuff That Dreams Are Made Of 1.0 in 2020 (stream on Spotify). Mistah F.A.B. and Too $hort are both veteran NorCal rappers, F.A.B. boasting a varied career spanning solo artistry, production and battle rap, and $hort one of the unquestioned pioneers of both independent hiphop and the West Coast sound. Tacoma, WA-based rapper Chuck Die$el the Lone Wolf presents the Chase Fade-directed music video for "Living Lavish", the Jacky Clouds-produced new single from Die$el's forthcoming EP Love Wolf. Hailing from Wooster, Ohio, Chuck has been spreading his 'Create Reality' philosophy through his previous EPs Adolescent Nights, Summer Sessions, and #TrapDiesel (LinkTree), and previous videos include "Sleazee" (Youtube) and "Homerun" (Youtube). California producer Sir Veterano presents the music video for "Reputable", his new single featuring MC Eiht, Planet Asia and Mitchy Slick. "Reputable" is the first single from The Gathering", Sir Veterano's forthcoming debut album also featuring appearances from Murs, Bishop Lamont, Casual, Ras Kass, Guilty Simpson, Phat Kat, Fashawn, K-Bizz, 4TWO7, M.E.D., Skillz and Supastition. Growing up outside of San Francisco, Veterano worked with Ras Kass, Kool G Rap, Mad Skillz, Planet Asia and Slaughtahouse through the mid-2000s and early 2010s, releasing the Latest and Greatest Vol.1 mixtape (link), a doo-wop themed instrumental album in partnership with Dart Adam's Producers I Know brand (link), and a DJ series of West Coast funk with 2DopeBoyz.com (link), before putting his career on hold in order to focus on his personal life. In late 2018, Sir Veterano expressed interest in rejoining the music business to his music manager, Walt Liquor - aka 4Two7 - and Kwa Nguyen, owner of Fresh Yard Clothing and Fresh Yard Records. The "Reputable" music video was directed by Yellow Nguyen, the man behind videos for Schoolboy Q and Ab-Soul. "I feel like I've been buried in a coffin for the last decade and just woke up," Veterano says regarding his new project. "Dug myself out of my music grave and started walking around. The Gathering is a summoning of old colleagues and Hip-Hop legends to come together and do the lyrical maiming they're known for." The Gathering is set for a summer release on Fresh Yard Records.

Redding, California rapper/producer Space Cadet presents the Bui-directed music video for "Eyes Closed", his self-produced new single coming on the heels of visuals for previous single "Good Mood" (Youtube). A member of Bay Area collective Thirdeye Coalition, his releases include solo albums Still Love You (stream), Like Home and Letters From Space (Bandcamp) as well as his collaboration album The Love Nostalgic with Larry (watch the music video for "Shine") and his Turtlenecks project (watch the music video for "Make Over"). A professional sound engineer as well as a drummer/percussionist for marching bands, punk rock bands and everything in between, Cadet also collaborates heavily with fellow Bay Area rapper J.Lately (stream "Clean" featuring The Grouch).

"Initially I wanted to be walking next to the car while it was moving really slowly, to tie in with the theme of the hook, like a walk in the park type thing," Cadet says regarding the video. "However, the car (which my best friend Larry let me borrow) battery died and we had to wing it. I think in the end, the video now ties in much more to the verses as far as having to deal with the obstacles and adversities of the journey.”

Southern California hip hop artist Saint presents the Eric Munoz-directed music video for his self-produced new single "Only On A Cloudy Day". Saint's last full-length release was Too Boozed Too Cruuz (watch "Live Life Like A Party"), and he's working on a collaboration with 2nd II None (stream an unfinished version of "It's Got Me Feeling Like"). Saint has opened up for Tha Eastsidaz, Chino XL, LuckyIAm of Living Legends, Artifacts and 2Mex, and is currently working on Collaborative Minds, an album where he will feature one local artist and one famous artist on each track. "There’s something about a cloudy day," Saint says about the track. "While others get the blues from the gloominess I see it as the perfect day to be inspired. Cuddle up for a little bit, stay in your pajamas, light up the doobie, and watch some cartoons before you hit the studio. Sunny days are great too, don’t get me wrong, but as a December baby I got to stick to my cold weather, and cloudy days is where I draw the inspiration to this song from."
